Scientific Excursion
As part of the 15th International Symposium on Buckwheat „Buckwheat for health”, a scientific excursion will be held to the main buckwheat breeding centre in Poland – Małopolska Plant Breeding. The main aim of the trip is to acquaint foreign guests with the work on the creative and conservative breeding of buckwheat cultivars in Poland, an inspection of the collection of buckwheat cultivars and the experimental fields in Nieznanice and Polanowice. Additionally, the participants of the tour will be introduced to the Agricultural University of Cracow and its main research streams. Furthermore, the conference organisers want to familiarise the symposium participants with the cultural and historical heritage of Poland and the history of World War II. Thus, it is planned to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, the Czartoryski Museum in Krakow, the Wawel Royal Castle and the Auschwitz Museum. The scientific excursion will start on 5.07.2023 and end on 8.07.2023. As the excursion will end in Krakow, there is a possibility to travel by train to Warsaw or return by bus to Puławy.
The cost of the scientific excursion is 260 euro for foreign persons, 1300 PLN for Polish persons. (the conference fee does not include the price of the excursion)
Price includes: coach, hotels, meals, guide fees and entrance tickets.
The price does not include the train ticket from Krakow to Warsaw. Its cost is EUR 35.
